Founded in Isabela, Puerto Rico, in 1987 by Wanda Sánchez and Víctor Díaz, Genesis began with a clear purpose: to build a business that would meet the needs of its community and create new opportunities through dedication, vision and hard work.

What started as a small store specializing in birthday supplies soon expanded into arts and crafts as Wanda and Víctor recognized the growing demand for creative materials in Puerto Rico. They also identified a need for reliable wholesale suppliers capable of serving local retailers, inspiring the beginning of Genesis’s distribution operations.

The company’s wholesale division began in a space measuring approximately 20 by 15 feet. As demand increased, Genesis continued moving into larger facilities, expanding its product selection and building lasting relationships with retailers throughout the island. Every stage of that growth required perseverance, sacrifice and the determination to keep moving forward—even when space, resources and opportunities were limited.

Today, Genesis Crafts Distributor operates from a 30,000-square-foot warehouse and supplies retailers across Puerto Rico with an extensive selection of craft, sewing, floral, décor, party and specialty products. Although the company has grown significantly since its beginning, it continues to follow the same principle that inspired its founders: providing the materials people need to create and helping local businesses serve their communities.

Looking ahead, Genesis Crafts Distributor is driven to continue growing, strengthening its island-wide distribution network and serving Puerto Rico’s creative industry for many years to come. Our vision is to become the trusted official distributor in Puerto Rico for leading arts and crafts brands while continuing to expand the products, opportunities and support we provide to retailers across the island.
